The Show is Over

Thanks to everyone that helped me get through the long weekend at the Contact Point Agility trial in Camarillo CA. If you were there you know what I mean.
I want to especially thank Candy and Leslie for making sure that the score table was accurate and running right, and in some instances being sure I was doing my job correctly. It's always good to have judges helping out in critical positions at any show.
I also want to thank the normal work crew that comes with all of Karen's trials, they work hard, stay to the end, and in most cases are very accurate. Thanks also to Bob, one of the key course builders that worked along side of Andre. The courses were accurately built in a timely manner.
Before this starts to sound more like an acceptance of an award on Oscar night than true thankfulness I need to make clear that I am truly grateful for the help. This sport would not exist without the volunteers behind every show.
I have a feeling that I may post a little more about what happened this weekend, some of it tied into the economy slump we all feel, but today I am exhausted and this is all I can mentally afford.

It's Wednesday!!

This is the day that I sit in front of the computer guarding the printer while I sort through and print 18 courses. Yes 18 courses this weekend at Karen's in the Advanced/Starter ring.

I print a full set of big ones for me and the secretary.
I print a full set of big ones that have all of the coordinates on them for the course builder.
And...I print the ones that you folk will use in the morning to walk your course.

It always takes me longer than I think it should and tonight is no different.
I also save all of the courses to BMP files so I can add them at the bottom of this page just after midnight.

So I thought I'd sit here while the printer is chugging away and let you know to stay safe on Saturday and don't complain. I won't give my full briefings because that might give away some of the fun we'll have in a few days.

Happy Trials and don't forget to volunteer, Rich
